Cherry Blossom Pot de Fleurs

A peaceful spring dawn announces its entry into the modest village of Thoiry, France. Birdsong gently awakens the inhabitants to start them on this new day. Following my morning café and tartine, I partake of a leisurely stroll along pastoral lanes. Eyeing the iris buds bursting and the cherry tree’s proud display of blossoms, I am inspired to fashion something for the garden; something simple with a touch of elegance from times past. Utilizing terra cotta as the base, iridescent clay tiles are skillfully applied surrounding a fashioned cherry blossom medallion. Voila! A classic treasure that transports you to another romantic era.
