Tarte aux Pommes (Apple Tart)

Basic French apple pie tart. Can also use pears, cherries, strawberries etc....Serve room temperature or warm.

1 puff pastry sheet, defrosted (can get at supermarket)
5-6 apples
Sugar to taste
Dash of salt
Butter to dot on top
9" square or round pie pan

Pre-heat oven to 450 degrees F. Line pie pan with parchment paper. Place thawed puff pastry dough in pie pan. Peel and cut apples in slices and place on top of puff pastry. Sprinkle sugar and salt on top of apples to taste. Dot with butter.

Reduce oven temperature to 400 degrees F. Bake for about 25 minutes or until it achieves desired doneness.

Let rest about 5 minutes before cutting.
Serves about 4-6
